User Guides Admin

Here you will find Admin User Guides for all functions and features of the Chainformation Platform. Guides are aimed for Admins with a SuperAdmin Role, not for End Users. They are quite detailed and well illustrated with screenshots and such. All guides here are PDF for download.

INITIAL SYSTEM SETUP

This is the first Userguide you should read. It presents the initial steps to take when setting up and configuring your Chainformation Platform. 

ROLES (access levels)

Create and edit Roles will allow you to have unlimited permission levels that govern what each member of a Role is allowed to see and do in the platform.

AREAS (geographical)

Areas is a part of the permission set-up. An Area is typically a country, region, state etc. and is useful for international operations.  

BUSINESS AREA / BRAND

Business Area is also a part of the permission levels and allows for adding multiple Brands, Subsidiaries or Concepts in one platform. 

UNITS / LOCATIONS

Units are the equivalent to a location, a restaurant, shop, gym, office etc.
Each Unit is specified in the platform as a unique entity and part of your organization.

USERS / COLLEAGUES

This section shows all aspects of Adding, Editing and Managing User Accounts. 

SHARING SELECTION

This section describe how to best and most effectively use the different Roles, Areas & Business Areas when sharing information across the platform. Access permissions at its best.

TAGS / CATEGORIES

Tags are what you use to categorize and sort your content. It’s a smarter and more versatile solution to traditional folders. Makes it easier to find stuff – fast.

PAGES / DOCUMENTS

Pages is the integrated text editor, like an on-line Word. Create, edit, style and share any type of content with text, images and videos. Perfect for Manuals, Handbooks and Policys.

PAGE TEMPLATES

A part of the Pages Module. With Page Templates you can create pre-set layouts, designs and content to fit your graphical profile and make content more appealing to Users. 

CHECKLISTS 1.0 (older)

Streamline daily tasks with scheduled Checklists. Ensure consistency across all locations, track completion, and enhance operational efficiency with customizable to-do lists.  

BRANDING & DESIGN

Chainformation can to a certain extent be Branded and profiled to match your Brand Profile. You can set signature colors, logo and change basic layout.

TASK MANAGER

Easily assign & manage single tasks among team members. Enhance collaboration & keep everyone focused on their specific responsibilities. Powerful reports / stats.

FORM BUILDER

Effortlessly gather and organize information with  Form Builder. Create custom forms for data collection, feedback, and audits. Simplify processes,  and cut down on e-mails.

CLUSTERS

Cluster makes it possible to connect selected Units into a Cluster. Typically useful with Multi Unit Ownership within a franchise network. Increases your options for smart sharing.

POSTS & FORUMS

How best use the social media-like features Posts and Forums. Fast and easy sharing of quick updates across selected parts of your organization. Versatile and easy to use.  

CHAT / MESSENGER

Stay connected and streamline internal communication with the integrated chat/messenger module. Collaborate in real time, share updates, and resolve issues quickly. 

FILE & MEDIA LIBRARY

Easily upload, share and organize your essential files and media with the File and media library. Set access permissions and ensure the right resources are at your users fingertips.

READ STATISTICS

Gain insights into user engagement and knowledge retention with the Statistics module. Track who’s accessing what content, how often, and for how long.

ACTIVITY LOG

The module traces and logs every activity, change and made in all modules across the platform. You can see all user activity in the log and trace any ambiguous action in any module.  

OTHER TOOLS & SETTINGS

Under the “System Setup” in the menu you’ll find:

  • User/Unit import
  • MS Word Doc. import
  • Customized data fields
  • Internal Support contacts
  • User Access Request settings.

TABLE OF CONTENT FOR PAGES

With the T.O.C module you can use the Tags to create an hieracichal layout over a selection of many Pages, eg to browse an entire Ops.Manual. Automatic numbering and re-scaling for mobile.
